​Position Summary

 

We're seeking an experienced Hardscape Foreman to join our team & grow into a leadership role within our company. This is more than a foreman position – it's an opportunity for the right candidate to step into a company where their skills, work ethic & leadership will be rewarded with a path to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

​

​

  • Lead & manage hardscape crews on job sites, ensuring projects are completed on-time, within budget & to spec.

​

  • Direct installation of paver patios & walkways, retaining & seating walls, fire features, outdoor staircases, outdoor kitchens, fiberglass swimming pools, soil grading & other landscape elements. 

​

  • Read & interpret project plans; translate them into actionable daily tasks for crew members. 

​

  • Maintain job site safety standards. 

​

  • Communicate daily with project manager to provide status updates & address on-site concerns. 

​

  • Train, mentor & hold crew members accountable for quality workmanship & professional conduct. 

​

  • Operate heavy equipment, trucks & trailers; perform basic maintenance tasks; recognize when repair service is required. 

​

  • Use company Crew App to complete daily production reports. 

​

Required Qualifications

​​

​

  • 5 years of hands-on hardscape installation experience. 

​

  • 2 years of experience in a foreman or lead crew supervisor role.

​

  • Demonstrated knowledge of hardscape materials, techniques & industry best practices. 

​

  • Clean, valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

​

  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage, motivate & develop a crew.

​

  • Excellent communication & problem-solving skills; a proactive approach to resolving issues is required. 

​

  • Reliable, punctual & committed to quality & professionalism on every job.

​

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying outdoor conditions. 

​

  • Please note that smoking is not allowed inside of company-owned vehicles, on company premises and on customer job sites.

Preferred Qualifications

​

​

  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

​

  • Experience with utilizing open-graded base systems for hardscape installations. 

​

  • Familiarity with stormwater management & drainage principles. 

​

  • Willingness to pursue continuing education within the industry. 

​

  • Prior experience managing multiple crews or job sites simultaneously. 

​

  • Experience with natural stone, permeable paving and other specialty hardscape systems. 

​

Hardscape Crew

Position Summary

 

We're seeking a motivated, hardworking individual to join our Hardscape Crew. Whether you're brand new to the trades or already have hands-on experience in the field, we want to hear from you. This role is designed for people who show up ready to work, take pride in what they build, and want to grow within a company that invests in its people.

​

No prior hardscaping experience is required – we will train the right person. What we can't teach is attitude, reliability & a willingness to learn. If you bring those, we'll take care of the rest. 

​

Key Responsibilities​

​

​

  • Assist in the production of paver patios, retaining walls, steps, fire pits & other hardscape features. 

​

  • Prepare & grade job sites, including excavation, base compaction & layout work.

​

  • Cut, set and finish pavers, natural stone, concrete block & related materials under foreman supervision. 

​

  • Operate hand tools, power tools & heavy equipment.

​

  • Load, unload & transport materials to job sites.

​

  • Maintain a clean, organized & safe work environment.

​

  • Follow all on-site safety protocols & company policies. 

​

  • Learn new skills & techniques as directed.

​

  • Represent the company professionally when interacting with homeowners & coworkers on site.

​

  • Take direction & feedback from foreman.

​

  • Ability to ask for assistance & guidance when help is needed, rather than making a potentially unwise decision. â€‹â€‹

​

​

Required Qualifications

​

​

  • Must be 18 years of age 

​

  • Valid, clean driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

​

  • Ability to perform physical, outdoor labor in varying conditions.

​

  • Reliable transportation to our shop in Cambridge, Wisconsin.

​

  • Willingness to follow direction, learn on the job & take constructive feedback.

​

  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic – this is the most important requirement. 

​

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly & work on your feet for extended periods of time.

​

  • Smartphone with data to utilize for time clock & Crew App.

​

  • Please note that smoking is not allowed inside of company-owned vehicles, on company premises and on customer job sites.

Preferred Qualifications

​

​

  • Prior experience in hardscaping, landscaping, masonry or general construction. 

​

  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools and small equipment operation.

​

  • Experience working outdoors in a crew environment.

​

  • Basic understanding of grading, drainage and site preparation.

​

  • Experience operating heavy equipment & driving a truck with a trailer.

​
